Description
The RENZ APSI 420 is a powerful electric inserting and crimping machine for plastic spirals with a working width of up to 430 mm. It automates the inserting, cutting, and crimping of pre-cut plastic spirals into pre-punched book blocks, making it the ideal solution for professional spiral binding.
The system processes spiral sizes from Ø 6 to 20 mm in 0.2475" / 4:1 / 6 mm pitch and from Ø 23 to 30 mm in 3:1 and 2.5:1 pitches.
Thanks to the tool-free setup, the machine can be adjusted within minutes to handle various diameters and formats. An integrated measuring scale allows precise determination of the appropriate spiral diameter for each block thickness. The vertical book block alignment also supports the binding of tabbed dividers or oversized covers.
All essential components such as book holders, diameter adjustment kits, and tools are safely stored within the system. The APSI 420 can be expanded with an inline spiral former and integrated into a modular system to meet increasing production demands—ensuring maximum efficiency and flexibility in professional finishing.
