Description
The RENZ APSI Compact is an electric plastic coil inserting and crimping machine for the digital print market. It automatically inserts pre-cut coils into pre-punched book blocks, cuts and crimps both ends simultaneously. The machine supports 0.2475" pitch, handles book thicknesses up to 15.6 mm and widths up to 297 mm. Tool-free adjustments make switching formats, pitches and diameters easy. The vertical book placement allows processing of tabs and oversized covers. A built-in diameter scale ensures correct spiral selection. The LCD screen guides the operator intuitively through setup and operation. Up to 450 bound products per hour are possible, depending on product and operator. Only plastic coils larger than 8 mm can be used.
