The RENZ automatic wire comb binding systems cut the wire to length and insert automatically with a minimum of motion. Each system is designed to assure the best working quality for the operator. An ergonomically designed work flow and the ability to operate the machine in a sitting position increase productivity and economy.

Short set-up times are very important for economically processing a nearly endless variety of calendars and books. Optimum production rates are achieved by the sophisticated control system which is simple to operate and has automatic error diagnostics.

The main control panel uses touch-screen technology for ease of operation. The screen clearly displays all current machine data, menus for adjustment and operation, and error messages (if necessary).
The key to the automatic binding process
is the unique binding mechanism.

To operate, simply place the book onto the binding table. The materials are clamped in place to maintain alignment of the holes during the binding process.
The table moves into the path of the wire where it it placed into the holes and locked in place. A new binding element is automatically placed into position at the end of the cycle, ready for the next book.

Various binding element diameters can be processed by changing the closing bars.
Fully automatic system for calendar hangers. Accepts
hangers from 80 to 600 mm length. The Renz concept is the only system in the world to use straight wire pieces which are formed into the hanger shape and then guided into the binding. Automatic processing of any length is possible. This patentedRENZ technology makes manualpreparation and feeding of the hangers obsolete.
The transport chain maintains accurate position of both 3:1 and 2:1 pitch wire comb elements. This is of particular importance when binding calendars or skip binding to maintain the spacing between elements programmed by the operator.
Fully automatic spool dewinding with winding of the separation paper strip. For trouble-free handling of all diameters. Winding of the separation paper helps reduce waste in the work area.
Hardened column guide mechanism with pressure bar provides solid mounting of the closing bars for accurate closing.
